Research, Development and Innovation (R&D+i)
Bio-Oils has made a strong commitment to research and technological innovation, understood as the pursuit of new products or more efficient and sustainable production processes. The R&D&I Department has a highly qualified technical team supported by a fully equipped laboratory. Bio-Oils participates in many of the technical forums and working groups related to biofuels at a global level.
As part of its research-driven vocation, Bio-Oils is a member of organizations such as the Biomass Technology Platform (BIOPLAT) under the Ministry of Industry, EABA (European Algae Biomass Association), ADESVA (Agri-Food Technology Center), and ALGAE PARC (a leading European microalgae research center belonging to Wageningen University). All of these forums bring together a large number of companies and research groups that share the goal of improving the sustainability of biofuels.
